Cost to advertise with Careerbuilder or Monster?

Anyone have any idea what either Careerbuilder or Monster charge to advertise on their websites? Their web sites do not give the prices for their advertisements and I don%26#039;t want to have to deal with thier sales people.

Sorry, but i don%26#039;t think there is any way around dealing with a sales person if you hope to get accurate information. there are just too many different parameters that can determine the cost of an ad to give a useful information to you.

The best way to deal with a sales person, however, is to be prepared for the exchange. Write down a list of questions for them. If they press you to make a sale, simply tell them that you are still weighing your options.
Reply:Hi,

There are many ways to market a small business on the web. You can buy banner ads, text links, or use PPC. However, the best way is to get listed in a bunch of portals. Portals and directories are like phone books, and they often provide a lot of traffic because they tend to rank high on Google.

This portal is giving away a free business card holder for lising your business (I got mine a few days ago in the mail). If you want to know about some other portals, just let me know.

Reply:Both websites give specific pricing. All you have to do is go to the top right and click on post a job. Monster makes it a little trickier because of their pricing locations but both can be found on the websites.
